But they were not the equal? Reflections after the IAEA

First, we must condemn violence against women, in case anyone thinks it is not ...
And secondly we are going to the Prehistoric ... since the Pompidou. These two bearded protesters should be protesting against DSK (you know the initials are already a breakthrough) after they rolled in New York. Not to be politically incorrect, so I'm going to a Prehistoric once.
turns out that the discourse about the 'Caveman' has changed so much over the years that it is not clear who they were or what they did. From the noble savage or dried wild, to the egalitarian societies that have used many feminists (and anarchists and communists and todoístas), the image of the 'caveman' is possibly one of the most distorted of Prehistory. If we add to the Welch and the Flintstones ...
The question is ... Why is that? And as always, I respond (mis) education. For some strange reason can be thought Conspiranoids only encourage states, the poor page study of prehistory is not very clear what we are told, or tell us only what matters. Today, it goes without saying that the older the continent lived in Burgos, how they lived. And considering that the only important aspect of his private life, was that they ate each other ...
In conclusion, we have much to convey in order to break the clichés of the past, topics that are still used today marking curious contradictions like the one shown in this photo. In theoretical discourse Paleolithic societies were an example of equality, and even 'matriarchy' (for which it is created). In social discourse, or the street, is still using the 'caveman' club and as an example of sexist abuse.
What did really happened? I do not know, but to see if we agree!

Longisland Glory Hole

3

Indian From Stonehenge, Machu Pichu druids and aliens populated the earth ...

long, long time I had a small number of entries that were on (re) use of symbols 'archaeological' for political or folk. The first two thoughts after the IAEA have focused on two closely related issues, the political positioning and peoples. In this third cripple both the mixed and raised to the nth degree in the field most attractive of all, the archaea-appeal. Same
is heavy without pictures, but the truth is I would not know which to choose and I'll repeat, so for photos, looking out the window and think 'archaeological'.
The thing is that this post had pending two thoughts ...
1. What is an archaeological symbol? This is the question that Sergio André and I did ... And the truth is that I went blank, because actually we are not always the ones who create these symbols as a social
product. In answer, I came to mind cave paintings, pyramids, the Romans (and Greeks) with all its 'archaeological heritage' which I consider symbols. Pasado Reciclado.

Today was renaming the town hall square and plaza in Valencia May 15. Name changes in roads and public spaces (with changes statue) are another example of 'recycling' of the past. 2,000 years ago, the Romans rebaptized temples and sacred sites. About 1,500 Christians did the same. A few months ago, some archaeologists blamed the presence of silica in modern contexts to postdepositional processes. A few days ago a new age group claimed as its own Stonehenge environment, but of course, since the Mayans were there seems to be the only safe place for 2012 (or not, that the world ends tomorrow ... I guess by police batons to break up protests.)
Anyway, as we 'recycle' our discourse by adapting the record to what we already have, the alternative revolution and Annunaki do the same position as not supporting the dominant ideology, keep the schemes 'orthodox' supports any criticism with regard to these schemes.
With this reflection I want to open a debate in addition to the symbols ... Why are we still driving an interpretive framework obsolete?
